MEMORY IMAGE

A project in colaboration with Bojana Ristic.

What happens if we give our memory to somebody else to visualize?  How would they deal with this, considering all differences that we have and at the same time taking account the extent to which they know us? Is it still ours or it is now, due to its changes, belonging to the other person?

Being able to know about each other only by spoken words, we explored the concept of shared memory independent of shared time and place. We deal with the exchange of memories and their reconstruction, possession and enactment - how memories are experienced verbally and reconstructed out of one’s imagination.

Together with our Master Thesis and as part of our defence, this work (known as Cinemagraphs) was exhibited in “Der Laden” Trierer Straße 5, 99423 Weimar, Germany.
